Mecha Bust

A resin mecha bust in graphite grey with bronze-edged armour panels, on a display base.

The brief

An original character worked up from two pieces of concept art. The client wanted the armour panel lines to read clearly, and wanted the piece to come apart for transport.

How we made it

Sculpted from the concept art, then split into eleven parts so every surface could be oriented away from supports. The joints are brass-pinned so the piece can be taken apart repeatedly. Every panel edge was picked out in bronze by hand.
